Female Founders Initiative -Middle East and Africa presents the 50 under 50, scheduled to take place May 2024. This groundbreaking event, set to take place in May 2024 at the SheEO Leadership Bootcamp in Doha, Qatar, aims to celebrate the remarkable achievements of women entrepreneurs in the Middle East and African region.
More about the reward:
Last weekend, I was very blessed to meet Mrs. Reid in Qatar and to talk about our books and other common interests. And... I also received a 50under50 Award Middle East and Africa Award from her. The50under50 Middle East and Africa is an initiative from the Female Founders Initiative Global (with its amazing founder Rosheen N.) and is supported by United Nations Women. 🌍
The Awards were preceded by the SHEEO Bootcamp. I had the opportunity to give a Masterclass on “How to become a (female) board member”. 👩🏫 But I have a feeling that I learned more from the audience than they did from me. The stories of entrepreneurs in Africa and the Middle East went straight to my heart and gave me a lesson in life and humility. Being raised in Western Europe, we sometimes tend to forget how privileged we are. Even when there’s a lot of ups and downs on our entrepreneurial journey.
This Award feels like a recognition for never giving up -even in times of hardship, like during the pandemic. I never imagined that I would become an entrepreneur, or that I would ever feel comfortable on stage. I can only thank some of the most influential Sprakkar for giving me that extra push.
Starting with the ones who brought me to the Fierce Ladies Retreat 8 years ago, to this very day. Kris Colpaert, elke 🌱 kraemer (she / her), Elke Jeurissen, Carole Lamarque, Veerle Pappaert, Coco Deprez, Elizabeth Van Den Bergh, Jill Suetens, 🌺Ingrid Hoffman, Gella Vandecaveye, Conny Vandendriessche, Nathalie Arteel, Nuria Muñoz Arce, Dr Kate Barker, Jessica Constantinidis, 🌏✨ Katleen Penel ✨🌏, Janine De Keersmaecker, Lieve Verplancke, Emma Braeye 👋, Els D'hauwer Wendy Vermoesen, Yulia Stark, Mihaela Raluca Tudor, Dariia Vasylieva Sana Sellami, Elda Choucair, Caroline Njuguna, Susmita Dutta, Sophie Jules Massant, Stéphanie Reniers 🍀,...
And of course my eternal thanks to the one and only Yves Vekemans, who never stops encouraging me. As well as Ronald Everaert, Joe Sejean, Panos Manolopoulos, Kris Talboom, Marc Bresseel, and many others (you know who you are -I can't tag more people 😉 ).
To the Sprakkar: May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them. 👑
